Socrates believed that philosophy prepares the heart and soul for the separation from the body in the next time for all of us to die. Also, he insisted that death is definitely not necessarily a poor thing. Socrates had two views on fatality, that is to get non-existent or something happens to the soul at fatality and gets transported to another world. I actually disagree with his opinions in death because he says that death is like a " dreamless sleep” and he does not considercarefully what could happen towards the soul following death.
If Socrates says that death is much like a dreamless sleep, we would be able to arise afterward. The definition of sleeping a state of partial unconsciousness in people and animals, during which voluntary features are revoked and the physique rests and restores by itself. Now saying if fatality were a way of sleeping we would only be partially unconscious and our body could rest up and we will wake up sense refreshed. Death is endless unconsciousness and we would never get up from it and we will need to be mindful to feel any pleasure from that.
Socrates assumes there is only one place dead spirits go. He thinks that his heart and all additional souls would end up in the same place. He admits that that he'd love to meet a lot of the souls there. He would not know without a doubt that every heart and soul goes to the same place. Also, every person has their own own view on what heaven and hell is always to them and just how they see it.
Those are definitely the reasons I disagree with Socrates ideas on fatality, they just do not appear logical to me. Socrates ideas are very interesting, that this individual welcomed fatality and he did not make an effort to escape that. Also, that he believed death is just a separating of the heart and soul and human body. In saying his opinions do in a way prepare all of us for loss of life because it is almost all...
