Review:

I must confess, I contacted this film with a specific amount of trepidation. Maybe it had been because I used to be expecting what would essentially become a cop-film parody edition of Shaun of the Deceased, with the same jokes and, on the whole, precisely the same themes. Or maybe it was since I feared the team at the rear of that 1st excellent parody would not meet expectation and, possibly, overstretch themselves. Whatever the reason, I will claim now, my fears were dispelled regardless if my pocket felt slightly lighter than normal.

A genuinely ridiculous В– but not off-putting at all В– plot originates, which surface finishes in a good half an hour of pleasingly slick action scenes and somewhat a lot of gore.

The comedy is also a pleasing mixture of wit, slapstick and basic crassness, with Frost and Pegg especially working away each other with subtle but biting one-liners, inducing wry smiles and belly-laughs likewise from a group who...
